Hokkaido Nippon-Ham first baseman Ikumasa Shintani had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Saitama Seibu Lions, 11-4. Ho-win Pian picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-1. He struck out 9 in 6 innings. Hokkaido Nippon-Ham has now won 4 straight.

Shintani had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Fighters went on to win.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Shintani told the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Chronicle.
