The Chunichi Dragons easily defeated the Hanshin Tigers, 13-4, at Ballpark of Otofuke College, with designated hitter Kol-in-sen Koo a main contributor to the win. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 7 for Chunichi. The Dragons go to 15-12, putting them third in the Central Division.

Chunichi right fielder Dustin Adkinson contributed to the cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the second. For the game, Adkinson belted 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice.

"They played a better game than we did," said Hanshin skipper Ken Lange.
