A 4-RBI performance from the 19-year old right fielder Tomoharu Fujiyama helped the Yomiuri Giants beat the Chunichi Dragons, 6-3. Kenshin Kawamoto finished to wrap up his 7th save. The Giants bumped their record to 15-8 with this latest triumph.

Had Fujiyama not come through in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Fujiyama hit a grand slam. The Giants never looked back after taking the 6-2 lead.

"It feels good to get this one," Fujiyama told the Yomiuri Citizen.
