Tokyo Yakult Wins 11-3 to Continue Red Hot Start
The Tokyo Yakult Swallows handed the Yomiuri Giants a sound defeat, 11-3, at Rebels Ballpark. Brian Schaefer was a main contributor to the win. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Tokyo Yakult. Tokyo Yakult reliever Brian Zanni picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-0. Akshey Battacharjee was collared with the loss. Jim Unknown earned the save for Tokyo Yakult, his 1st.

Iori Umeda made an early impact for Tokyo Yakult when he stroked his 4th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which came with one out in the bottom of the third, put the Swallows on top, 1-0.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Schaefer.

The loss drops Yomiuri to 5-4.
