|
Tokyo Yakult catcher Tooru Miyahira played a vital role in his team's 6-4 triumph over Hanshin. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Tokyo Yakult. Tokyo Yakult reliever Brian Zanni picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Santos Restrepo shouldered the loss. The win moves Tokyo Yakult to a record of 5-2.
Shiro Sasamoto gave Tokyo Yakult a good at-bat in the top of the first inning. With the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run to help send Tokyo Yakult to the win.
