Marines Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
|
The Chiba Lotte Marines went home winners at Ballpark of Nasu College, thanks in large part to starter Tatsuya Inouye. Inouye silenced the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, enabling Chiba Lotte to grab the 7-0 win. Akiro Suzuki sewed up the save, his 1st. The Marines, with just their 2nd win so far in 2032, have yet to catch fire.
Also pitching in was Chiba Lotte third baseman Wen-bin Nishi, who hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, Nishi was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Nishi said. "That's how it goes."
