Swallows Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Bay Stars
The Tokyo Yakult Swallows defeated the Yokohama Bay Stars, 10-9, at Rebels Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Tokyo Yakult was first baseman Tadao Nishimura. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Matt Stevenson closed it out for his 1st save. The win takes Tokyo Yakult to 3-1.

Had Nishimura not come through in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Nishimura hit a 2-run home run. The Swallows never looked back after taking the 10-9 lead.

"What a game," said Nishimura. "We needed every last run."
