Giants Get One-Run Win at Hanshin
|
Hanshin designated hitter Yutaka Kato had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to Yomiuri at Ballpark of Otofuke College. Kato went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. With the win, Yomiuri improves its record to 3-1.
Hiroyoshi Kato, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth. That's when he connected on a fastball from Tsuyashi Hiramoto for a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season put Yomiuri in front, 5-4.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Yomiuri manager Masato Ojima.
