Marauders Topple Hops with Late Rally
The Maple Marauders trumped the San Diego Hops, 4-2, at Legends Park. Maple first baseman Kojuro Ine was named player of the game for his performance. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. Reliever Hariz Sahir picked up the win. His record improves to 2-2. Yoshino Nakagawa took the loss. Marcos León earned the save, his 16th, for the Marauders.

Maple took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out, shortstop Alejandro Marés hit a 2-run home run that brought the crowd to its feet.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Marés said after the game.

The Hops, at 38-43, have lost 4 straight games.
