Panthers Cut Down Cardinals, 9-5

It was a good time at Managua HS Grounds, where fans came to watch the Montreal Cardinals and Derby Panthers get after it.
Tom Vallis left his imprint on the 9-5 Derby win against the Montreal Cardinals. Vallis was 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Mitch Lundy.
Vallis had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the first, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Panthers went on to win.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Derby manager Daniel Hills.
Derby has 3 straight wins, Montreal 4 straight losses.
