Puglisi Finds Groove in 5-1 Triumph
|
The Topeka West Chargers knocked off the Tioga Central Tigers, 5-1. Topeka West starter Trey Puglisi pitched well enough to earn top player honors. The Chargers saw their win-loss record go to 16-10. At the same time, the Tigers fell to 16-10.
Puglisi scattered 6 hits over 9 innings for the Chargers. With the win, Puglisi moves to 2-3 on the year with 40 strikeouts.
"I'll be honest," said Puglisi. "I was running on fumes at the end."
