Thrilling Victory Pushes Islanders Win Streak to 6
Riverside got a terrific performance from third baseman Dan Stone, but it wasn't enough to beat the Grand Island Islanders. Grand Island won the Ballpark of Morelia HS contest, 12-10. Stone was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The Islanders, at 13-13, have now won 6 straight.

Coming to the plate with two out in the bottom of the 11th inning, Grand Island designated hitter Chris O'Leary had a chance to be the hero. Facing Riverside pitcher Josh Presti with a runner on 1st, O'Leary, who is rated as the 11th best prospect by BNN, hit a walk-off 2-run home run.

"This team is headed in the right direction," said O'Leary.
