Yamasaki Slugs Bombers to 9-4 Win
South Carolina right fielder Kiyonobu Yamasaki played a vital role in his team's 9-4 triumph over Portland. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for South Carolina. The Bombers bumped their record to 46-33 with this latest triumph.

Yamasaki had a key at-bat for South Carolina early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and gave South Carolina an early 3-0 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Yamasaki. "And not try to do too much."
