Patriots Take Nail-Biter Over Lions
|
In a tight contest at Osprey Ballpark, the George Washington Patriots edged the Lerna Lions by the score of 5-4. George Washington catcher Craig Quinton, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. George Washington is now 8-16.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when George Washington center fielder Ian Brown, facing Dusty Bynum, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Patriots the 5-4 win.
Quinton called the extra-inning win a "confidence builder."
