Patriots Cut Down Cardinals, 6-4

Francis Lewis and Montreal duked it out at Nezahualcoyotl HS Grounds and the Patriots came out victorious.
Francis Lewis starter Andy Gabbard pitched effectively against the Montreal Cardinals at Nezahualcoyotl HS Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a 6-4 win. Gabbard, now 1-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 3 earned runs.
With Francis Lewis trailing 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Patriots fortunes got a boost when catcher Tsuyohi Satoya turned a 2-2 splitter from Seth McBrayer into his 5th home run of the season. The hit scored 3 and put Francis Lewis up, 4-2.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Satoya told the Francis Lewis Today. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
The 4th-place Patriots improved to 11-13.
