Blues Get Close Win Over Panthers
The Central Tech Blues beat the Pleasantville Panthers, 8-7 at Oranges Ballpark, in part due to first baseman Moises Salazar, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Picking up the save was Ryan Schwanz, his 2nd. The last-place Blues are now 6-17, the Panthers 10-13.

Tim Mohr in the bottom of the sixth had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 1st and the Blues trailing 7-5, the Central Tech center fielder hit a single.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Salazar said.
