Lancers Need Extra Frames to Get Past Mustangs
The Canby Lancers bested the Downsview Mustangs by a score of 6-4, with catcher Wayne Rouse getting the main credit. On the day, Rouse went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Lancers. Canby reliever Jeremy Lowery picked up the win to move to 1-0. Wade Knuth suffered the loss. The Lancers improve their record to 12-10 with the win over Downsview.

Bryce Pope's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a curveball from Wade Knuth for a 2-run home run. It put Canby in front, 6-4.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Pope.
