The Carl Albert Titans topped the Francis Lewis Patriots, 4-2, in Hank Aaron League action at Zebras Ballpark. The player of the game was Carl Albert center fielder Scott Cooke. Matt Castle got the win, improving to 1-1. He held the Patriots to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2. Tom Frenchik nailed down his 7th save.

When the Titans needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Cooke who delivered. Facing Francis Lewis pitcher Katsutoshi Kawano the bottom of the first with the bases loaded, Cooke hit his 3rd home run of the year. It made the score 4-0.
