Lerna got a terrific game from designated hitter Roger Groninger. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Pleasantville, 11-10. Groninger was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. With the win, Pleasantville goes to 9-11, while the Lions fall to 9-11.

Ken Howe had the critical at-bat for Pleasantville. With no one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, he hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Pleasantville the 11-10 walk-off win.

"Enjoyed this one," Howe told the Pleasantville Today. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
