Panthers Rally For Late Win Over Patriots
|
The Pitman High Panthers topped the Francis Lewis Patriots, 4-3, with youngster Seth Day playing a key role. Day was 3-4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Panthers in the win. Pitman High has an impressive 14-6 record.
Day had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 slider from Ben Breaux, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Panthers a 4-3 lead. It was the 7th double of the year for Day.
"We did a lot of things right," said Day.
