Mustangs Need Extras to Top Cardinals
The Downsview Mustangs stopped the Kearny High Cardinals, 7-5, at Visigoths Stadium. The Mustangs got a big game from William Nowell, who was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Downsview currently is in 5th place in the Pete Rose League Alex Rodriguez Division at 8-10.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Nowell hit a splitter from Bobby Gochnauer for a 2-run home run. The Mustangs, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

Nowell said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
