Riverside starter Seth McMahill had a strong outing against the Montreal Cardinals at Nezahualcoyotl HS Grounds. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. The Poly, at 14-4, lead by one game in their division.

Marshall Clark, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth. That's when he connected on a cutter from Scott Hanna for a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put Riverside in front, 5-3.

Clark attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
