The Canby Lancers downed the Pitman High Panthers, 9-6, in 10 innings. Bill Lapham led the way, going 1-for-4 for Canby. The 4th-place Lancers improved to 8-9.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the tenth, until Lapham delivered big-time for Canby, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Danny Ventimiglia. The game-changing hit put the Lancers on top, 9-6.

"It was terrific getting this win," Lapham said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
