The Downsview Mustangs grabbed a 7-5 win over the San Marin Mustangs at Visigoths Stadium. Downsview left fielder William Nowell went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once to earn player of the game honors. The win was credited to Manny Rodriguez in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Eric Czajkowski took the loss. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Wade Knuth.

Downsview took the lead in the bottom of the sixth when Nowell hit a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season made the score 7-5, Downsview.

Nowell expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."

Downsview now sits at 7-9, while San Marin falls to 8-8.
