Mustangs Stymie Seminole, Take 3-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring affair between the San Marin Mustangs and the Seminole Warhawks, pitcher Josh Conklin was the difference between victory and defeat. The San Marin right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-1 Mustangs win. San Marin reliever Bob O'Neill was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Cody Rinella took the loss for Seminole. With the win over Seminole, the Mustangs improved to 8-7.
In the top of the second, Danny Claude had a big 2-run single off Cody Rinella. With the single, the San Marin second baseman put his team in front, 2-0. He went 2-2 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs in the contest.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Conklin.
