The first-place Jefferson Indians welcomed Central Tech to Ballpark of Monterrey HS.
The Jefferson Indians and starting pitcher John Bice stifled the Central Tech offense en route to a comfortable 8-0 win at Ballpark of Monterrey HS. Ethan Hall earned the save for Jefferson, his 1st of the year.
Bice scattered 1 hit over 6.2 innings for the Indians. With the win, Bice goes to 1-0 on the year with 17 strikeouts.
"I thought we were prepared," Central Tech manager Yassin Flament said after the game. "I thought we'd be more competitive out there."
Central Tech has now lost 5 straight.
