Titans, Becker Pin Bad Loss on Park
|
Carl Albert and College got after it at Zebras Ballpark.
The Carl Albert Titans handed the College Park a sound defeat, 13-2, at Zebras Ballpark. Doug Becker was a main contributor to the win. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for Carl Albert. Forbes Raynor, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held College to no earned runs on 2 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 12 strikeouts.
Becker contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Carl Albert get the win.
"I hope we get a nice reward for this win," said Becker. "Like maybe a lighter workout schedule."
Carl Albert now sits in 4th place in the Hank Aaron League Bob Gibson Division at 7-7.
