Texans Saddle Hornets with 5-2 Loss
|
The Eureka Hornets and Dallas Texans brought some excitement to Metroplex Park.
Though he had a great game, Juan González could not single-handedly produce a win for Eureka. Dallas won the game, 5-2. González was named the player of the game. He was 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Benjamin Piece picked up the win, improving his season record to 8-3. He struck out 4 in 7 innings. Adrien Clément was credited with the save for Dallas, his 22nd of the season.
The fans who came in support of the Texans were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Metroplex Park.
With the win, Dallas goes to 37-40, while the Hornets fall to 45-33.
