The Brooklyn Black Knights racked up a win at Blue Ivy Stadium, bumping off the Bloomington Blazers, 5-3. Tomás Bravo, who started for Brooklyn, pitched effectively for his team. The second-place Black Knights have won 4 in a row.
Ichiyo Yano dealt the Blazers a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Brooklyn leading 3-2, Yano, the seven overall pick in the 2027 draft, hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Bravo told the Brooklyn Today. "You win just by scoring more runs."
