Islanders Lose Late, 5-4
The San Marin Mustangs faced a tough opponent in Grand Island pitcher J.D. Lindsey, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Silvertips Ballpark by a final score of 5-4. Lindsey went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The Islanders fall to 5-7 and continue their lackluster start to the 2032 season.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 4-4, center fielder Tom Bach won it for San Marin. With a runner on 2nd, Bach hit a 1-2 fastball from Bill Burton for a run-scoring double, giving his team a 5-4 win.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Bach said.
