The Jefferson Indians pounded the Pleasantville Panthers, 16-1, at Ballpark of Monterrey HS. Jefferson first baseman Chris Nutting was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Jefferson, now 7-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Juan Avalos contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped send Jefferson to the win.
