Streaking Poly Win Another One
The Riverside Poly extended their winning streak at Apollos Ballpark.

Behind a solid performance from shortstop Andrew Withrow, the Riverside Poly defeated the Central Tech Blues, 4-2. Withrow went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Poly. Riverside reliever Shinjiro Imai picked up the win to move to 1-0. Corey Carr suffered the loss.

With Riverside trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Withrow hit a changeup from Corey Carr for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Poly ahead, 2-1.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Riverside manager Gary Corwin.

At 8-3, the Poly have played well so far.
