Blazers Stumble, Lose to Marauders
Ze-dong Zhang was superb against Bloomington. The left-hander, who is a three-time All-Star, had a forkball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 12-4 Marauders victory. The winning pitcher was Zhang, now 2-0. He tossed 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 9. With the win, Maple is 5-3.

Angel Barajas was a prime factor in the win for the Marauders. In the bottom of the second with two out, the 27-year old left fielder hit a 2-run single. He went 3-5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Barajas told the Maple Daily.
