Brandenburg Leads Tigers to Win
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

The Tioga Central Tigers blasted the Downsview Mustangs, 18-4. Mike Brandenburg was one of the hitting stars. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for Tioga Central. Ted Mengel was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 9 hits, with 2 walks and 10 strikeouts.

The Tigers took the lead in the bottom of the first when Wade Newman banged a two-out single. Tioga Central had been trailing 1-0, but Newman hit a first pitch curveball from Zach Pohlmann for a 2-run single.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Brandenburg.

The win takes Tioga Central to 4-3.
