McMahill Shuts Out San Marin
|
"Good pitching beats good hitting" is an old baseball adage.
Well, good pitching also beats bad hitting.
Seth McMahill of the Riverside Poly proved the point at Apollos Ballpark today, holding the San Marin Mustangs to 7 hits in a complete game shutout victory.
"McMahill made us look real bad today," Mustangs manager Marcus Piscitelli said in his postgame interview. "He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking."
McMahill had 9 strikeouts and gave up 5 walks as the Poly took the 1-0 win.
