Blues Deal Titans 11-8 Setback
The Central Tech Blues defeated the Carl Albert Titans, 11-8. Earning player of the game honors was designated hitter Jim Sumner, who was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. Ryan Schwanz nailed down his 1st save. The Titans, now 2-5, have been pitiful so far.

The Blues beat the Titans in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out triple Tim Mohr produced in the bottom of the sixth. Batting against Carl Albert pitcher Mike Rowlands, Mohr gave his team a 7-5 lead when he hit a 2-run triple.
