Getting a good performance from center fielder Peyton Miller, the Downsview Mustangs defeated the Santa Clara Vampires, 7-6. Miller went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Mustangs. With the win, Downsview improves its record to 4-2.

Downsview grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the sixth, when Miller hit a run-scoring single. His 11th hit of the season put the Mustangs out in front, 5-4.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Santa Clara manager Juan Proenza.
