Kogawa hits 2 home runs in Grays Win
The Georgia Grays stymied the Portland Beavers, 5-2, at Waterfront Park. Tokutomi Kogawa, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for Georgia. José Berrios, credited with the win, is now 2-6. He allowed 2 runs on 9 hits in 8 innings. Bernalldo Rocchi finished to wrap up his 16th save.

Early in the game, Kogawa had a 3-run home run for Georgia. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Grays on top, 3-0.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Kogawa said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The 5th-place Grays improved to 28-49.
