Tioga Central right fielder Mike Brandenburg was a significant contributor in his team's 6-5 triumph over the Canby Lancers. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Tioga Central. Tioga Central, at 2-0, is off to a blistering start.

Brandenburg contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Tioga Central in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Brandenburg took a fastball from Jim Casey and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Tigers to leap in front, 4-2.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Tioga Central manager Gabriel McKinnes.
