Cardinals Spoil Great Performance by Mohr
Central Tech got a terrific game from center fielder Tim Mohr. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Kearny High, 10-4. Mohr was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Kearny High, now 2-0, is setting the league on fire so far.

The tide might have turned with two out in the top of the fifth, had not Juan Torres made a big pitch. With the bases loaded and the Blues trailing 5-1, he retired Bruce Bucco, who struck out.
