The Montreal Royales powered past the Trois-Rivieres Saints, 8-5, at Eliminators Ballpark. Gannon West went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Erik Noble picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-6. He struck out 10 in 7 innings. Trois-Rivieres has now lost 4 consecutive games.

One important at-bat for Montreal came with one out in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the bases loaded, West hit a run-scoring single, which contributed to the Royales win.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," West told a Montreal Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
