Jacks Stick Toreros with 5-4 Loss
|
Jacksonville and Cabo San Lucas put this game in the books despite some rain.
The Jacksonville Jacks picked up a win at Skellington Stadium, knocking off the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 5-4. Starting pitcher Walt Lawson was an essential part of his team's success. Jacksonville is in 5th place in the Roberto Clemente League William Atteberry Division with a record of 31-43.
Jacksonville left fielder Gart Rook helped the Jacks go up, 3-1, in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the game tied, Rook hit a 2-run home run off Cabo San Lucas pitcher Phoenix Smith.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Lawson.
