Monarchs Pull Even With 5-3 Victory
Mike Navarro was superb against Saskatoon. The right-hander, who leads the LBL with a 1.17 WHIP, had a splitter that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 5-3 Monarchs victory. Navarro, now 2-2, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 10, walking 3, and allowing no earned runs. London leads the Lester B. Person League East Division by 2½ games.

Eddie Steele had a chance to hurt the Monarchs in the top of the sixth. With Saskatoon trailing 5-0, the Legends had the bases loaded. But Steele lined out.
