Petzinger, Legends Too Much for Capitals
Conditions were not ideal but Saskatoon and Victoria were able to put their game in the books.

The Saskatoon Legends beat the Victoria Capitals, 14-5, at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. The Legends got a fine performance from right fielder Rick Petzinger, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Quinn Desjardins finished the game for Saskatoon and earned his 1st save.

Also making an impact was second baseman Bob Legrow, who drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning for the Legends. For the game, Legrow went 2 for 5 with a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Saskatoon manager Allen Cummings.

The Legends, at 26-15, lead by one game in their division.
