Monarchs Lose, 8-6, at Ballpark of Red Deer College

The Saskatoon Legends bested the London Monarchs by a score of 8-6, with center fielder Louie Lockyer getting the main credit. On the day, Lockyer was 3-4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Legends. Jan Woodbury got the win, improving to 3-3. He worked 6 innings, giving up 4 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The Legends have now won 4 straight.
With two out in the bottom of the second, Walt Gaudet hit a go-ahead 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and with it the Legends took a 3-1 lead.
"I like the roll we're on," said Saskatoon manager Allen Cummings.
