Sasquatch Get Past Oklahoma City for 7-6 Win
|
The Oklahoma City Prowlers got a superb performance from designated hitter Eduardo López, but the Seattle Sasquatch still won the game, 7-6. López was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Kirk Redman got credit for the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. George Fortin nailed down his 20th save.
Kelly Carpenter drew 1 walk for Seattle. In the bottom of the eighth, with the teams deadlocked, 6-6, Carpenter delivered for the Sasquatch. His run-scoring walk put Seattle on top, 7-6.
Sasquatch manager Carl Best wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
The Sasquatch now own a record of 34-43.
