The Niagara Stars handed the Montreal Royales a sound defeat, 11-3, at Drummondville College Grounds. Bill Sheppard was a main contributor to the win. He went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for Niagara. Montreal has now lost 4 in a row.

Sheppard contributed when he hit a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. Coming with two outs and runners on 1st and 3rd, the home run proved to be critical to helping Niagara get the win.
