Saints Sneak Past Royales, 7-6

The Trois-Rivieres Saints beat the Montreal Royales, 7-6 at Blue Wings Ballpark, in part due to left fielder Bill Tilly, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Waldo Perron, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save. Trois-Rivieres is now 11-25, Montreal 15-21.
Trois-Rivieres took a 7-6 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out, first baseman Dale Colvin hit a 3-run home run that brought the crowd to its feet.
"Winning is not something we take for granted," Colvin said.
