Monarchs Roll to 8-3 Win Over Stars
|
London center fielder Jim Jameson played a vital role in his team's 8-3 triumph over Niagara. He went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for London. Zack Hogan got the win, improving to 4-1. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. The Monarchs improved to 16-18.
Jameson had a key at-bat for London early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 9th double of the season and gave London an early 2-0 lead.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Jameson told the London Times. "It's as simple as that."
