8-7 Heat Win over Saints Evens Season Record
|
Kelowna designated hitter Henry Harrington picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Trois-Rivieres Saints, 8-7. Colin Larsen got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. Trois-Rivieres's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
In the top of the 6th, first baseman Jason Leahy gave Kelowna the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Heat had been trailing 7-6, but the two-out home run off Trois-Rivieres pitcher Jerry Lush changed that -- and Kelowna went on to win.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Kelowna manager Bob Cunningham.
